MMP NEWS RELEASE - 12/2004

New Brushed Motor Speed Control accepts 115 VAC input, Controls 12 Volt DC Motors and Gearmotors.

Midwest Motion Products of Watertown, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the release of a new MMP.115VAC-12VDC Brushed Motor Speed Control. Designed to accept standard 115 Volt AC “wall current”, this PWM Servo control features a continuous output current of 5 ampere, at 12 Volts DC out. The DC Power supply and the Control Module are neatly packaged on a 6” x 6” Square Aluminum base plate.

Each unit is provided with a 10K ohm Speed adjust potentiometer, and the terminals and connectors required to provide the AC Input to the on board Power Supply. The chassis has 4 through holes for mounting, 0.250” in diameter, and 5.5” apart, center to center.

Typical Applications for this control include Instrumentation, Lab experiments, Non invasive, non life supporting Medical, rotating signage, point of purchase displays, and other motor control applications that require AC Input and 12 V DC output.
The Motor control modules employed in this design are also available separately, without the power supply.

These modules accept either 12 or 24 Volts DC, and can deliver up to 25Amps of continuous output current. The company offers a variety of standard ancillary equipment to compliment these unique drives, including multi-axis configurations, DC power supplies, AC or DC Powered Linear Actuators, DC servo motors and gear-motors, complete with integrally mounted optical encoders, failsafe brakes, and analog tachometers.
